      About the Project:

      Join UGL's Manufacturing and Maintenance division as we embark on the landmark New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project. This initiative will revolutionise train services for customers traveling from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, and the South Coast.

      About Your Role:

      The Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role within the NSW Passenger Maintenance business, located at our Mariyung Maintenance Facility, Kangy Angy. Your main responsibility is to plan, develop, implement, maintain, and issue comprehensive maintenance schedules for the rolling-stock, focusing on the Mariyung (NIF) and Regional Rail fleets managed by NSW Trains and Sydney Trains.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Coordinate and implement maintenance schedules aligning with approved plans.
      • Efficiently execute maintenance plans to meet contractual objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
      • Monitor maintenance outputs to meet service levels and avoid penalties.
      • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
      • Communicate effectively across teams to achieve goals.
      • Weekly coordination of train movements with external clients.


      About You:

      You bring a wealth of experience in work scheduling and planning within heavy asset engineering, warehouse, or materials environments, complemented by a solid understanding of fleet maintenance in a rail setting.

      Key Skills and Experience:

      • SAP Proficiency: Extensive experience with SAP for both transactional and reporting purposes, ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient operations.
      • Asset Management Knowledge: Strong foundation in asset management, maintenance, and technical services practices, equipping you to navigate complex maintenance environments.
      • Multi-Tasking Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects concurrently, effectively meeting deadlines and ensuring project success.
      • Communication Excellence: Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and network effectively at all organisational levels, both horizontally and vertically.
