- Lead/Support the implementation of a Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Lead/Mentor maintenance team relative to daily workload prioritization and communication.
- Attend maintenance DMP and maintain dashboard data.
- Attend Site Wide DMP in the absence of the supervisor.
- Responsible for Managing the work order system
- Scheduling and organizing PM/CM downtime with production
- Capable of coordinating own daily workload and balancing priorities relative to manufacturing requirements.
- Able to adjust and communicate changing priorities to staff and management.
- Complete maintenance tasks related to production and facility equipment
- Coordinate repair work with external resources
- Liaison with external vendors relative to parts supply and repair
- Provide mentorship to the maintenance team and production operators relative to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Provide on-call support relative to maintenance issues as required
- Promote and grow Shawcor's Safety culture, 5S, mission, and values
- Coordinating custom equipment assembly and new equipment installation/commissioning activities
- Provide technical direction during equipment installation and commissioning
- Liaison with the Plant Engineer and Equipment Design Engineers on continuous improvement/new equipment projects
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in similar role
- Industrial Mechanical Training
- Strong communication and organizational skill
- Able to promptly diagnose and correct mechanical and equipment problems
- Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Requires skill in operating tools and equipment and an understanding of the conditions that may impact their performance
- Competent in performing building and equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry work
- Skilled in performing repairs on controls, motors, portable tools, electric hoists, hydraulics, diesel engines, tow motors, cranes, air compressors, heaters, welders, lift trucks, bench and floor power tools, chain fans, boilers, air conditioners, blasting equipment, and motor vehicles
- Ability to work from wiring diagrams and equipment manuals for rebuilding equipment and manual repairs

THE ROLE
The Maintenance Supervisor will establish short-term and long-term direction for the department using input from the Plant Manager to help achieve the overall operational goals of the facility. This role is accountable for daily supervision and workload management for the maintenance team in addition to providing support for coordinating custom equipment assembly and new equipment installation/commissioning activities.
