      Maintenance Team Leader

      Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire

      The Role

      As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will lead a multi-disciplined manufacturing maintenance team to ensure delivery of functional Key Performance Indicators which contribute to the Supply function meeting its customer service, quality, and cost targets. You will be responsible for all Manufacturing Maintenance activities within their area of responsibility. In this role you'll:

      • Ensure all items of plant and equipment are maintained to the appropriate standard to ensure that their performance is safe, reliable and in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
      • Continuously improve performance, plant and systems to support the development of the Manufacturing Facilities and contributing to the Supply function meeting its customer service, quality and cost targets.
      • Be responsible for managing a team of 6-12 Technicians across mechanical, electrical or multiskilled disciplines.
      • Ensure that a uniform approach to maintenance issues is maintained across the site and shifts.
      • Agree annual maintenance budgets with Asset Care Manager and maintain control of expenditure within this budget.
      • Ensure weekly maintenance review and planning meetings are routinely occurring and effective.

      You’ll succeed because you have the following skills and Qualifications....

      • Degree in Engineering or related subject with 2-3 years’ experience in engineering / maintenance / project management roles or HNC / HND with 2-3 years engineering maintenance management experience.
      • 2-3 years’ experience in an FMCG operation.
      • Line management experience in same / similar environment.
      • Experience in dealing with staff at all levels of expertise, with the ability to communicate skilfully with people at their level of understanding.
      • Good IT skills with familiarity of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and planning software.
