      Franklin International – Maintenance Technician 2, 1st shift

Today, Franklin Glue Company is known as Franklin International to reflect our global distribution across 60 countries on six continents around the globe. Our Construction Building Products division provides the Titebond brand of glues, adhesives and sealants for use in woodworking and all facets of residential and commercial construction.

      We are hiring a Maintenance Technician 2 (Helper) for 1st shift.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Must strictly adhere to all Franklin and Site EHS policies and procedures (PPE, LOTO, scrap, waste disposal, accident reporting, etc,)
      • Maintain a positive attitude, address concerns in a positive way.
      • Must proactively plan/stage upcoming work, communicate issues & develop alternative plans if necessary.
      • Responsible for organizing and executing PM’s on site’s manufacturing equipment.
      • Ability to trouble shoot basic issues with mixing and packaging equipment and perform maintenance repairs involving pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
      • Desire /ability to participate in continuing education to achieve Maintenance certifications (i.e. Welding, pneumatics, electrical, Controls, etc.)
      • Comfortable working at heights
      • Requires basics computer skills to print, update, and complete Work Order documentation.
      • Must properly document spare part consumption and assist with organizing & maintaining spare parts inventory.
      • Support /complete project work when assigned including developing plans, procuring materials, and executing on time
      • Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
      • Demonstrate the ability to adapt with changing business needs and objectives including accepting/performing temporary assignments (i.e. mixing, packaging) to meet production goals.

      Education/Experience/Skills :

      • High School Diploma or GED required. A.A./A.S. degree in a Technical discipline or 2 – 3 years’ industrial maintenance or controls experience preferred.
      • Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair small scale industrial equipment (i.e. pumps, electrical controls, gear boxes, motors, etc.)
      • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills to interpret and resolve unstructured problems.
      • Ability and willingness to work cross-functionally.
      • Excellent work and safety record.
      • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical .

      Pay Range for Grade $22.00-$24.00
