  Job Description

  As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of plant machinery and equipment. This includes the repair of injection molding machines and troubleshooting controls, AC/DC motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, and other mechanical systems. You will work with 480v, single and three-phase power, and install, repair, and replace sensors, switches, and photo eyes. Additionally, you will assist with building maintenance and work from blueprints and schematics/wiring diagrams.

  Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery and equipment.
  • Repair injection molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot controls, AC/DC motors, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatic tools.
  • Work with 480v, single and three-phase power.
  • Install, repair, and replace sensors, switches, and photo eyes.
  • Assist with building maintenance.
  • Work from blueprints and schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • Service electrical/electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit boards, and controls.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical cables, power distribution cables, and splicing pieces as necessary.
  • Fabricate parts when necessary using machines and/or hand tools common to the trade.

  Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with 480v power systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair AC/DC motors, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatic tools.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with blueprints and schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • Experience in a union environment is a plus.

  Work Environment

  This role operates on the 2nd or 3rd shift within a union environment. There is a probationary period of 120 days before being hired into the union, with a .25 cent raise twice a year. The workplace is very clean, temperature-controlled, and currently employs 6 Maintenance Technicians, with plans to expand to 8. The facility is a 200,000-square-foot office and manufacturing space, conveniently located near the Akron-Canton Airport.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $66560.00/yr.
