      POSITION OVERVIEW

      Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

      • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
      • Estimate time and extent of repairs
      • Coordinate with maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day
      • Perform routine preventative maintenance
      • Maintain material and supply inventory
      • Identify and report any issues regarding hazardous conditions, maintenance needs, or safety related items
      • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
      • Ensure upkeep of community appearance
      • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors
      • Accurately complete records in Onesite regarding service requests and make-ready vacant apartment

      Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

      • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
      • High School diploma preferred; certification from accredited trade school highly desired
      • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
      • Ability to handle physical workload
      • Deadline and detail-oriented
      • EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification strongly preferred
      • Must have valid drivers license, dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
