  Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Engineering & Technical Services
  Contract Duration: 5 Months
  Location: Lakeway, TX
  Work Type: Onsite, Monday-Friday 8 am 5 pm
  
  About the Role:
  • As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
  • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function.
  • They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
  
  What You'll Do:
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Maintenance Technician supports energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
  
  What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  
  Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:
  • Working in a hospital/Lakeway campus
  • Because this is customer/client facing, the candidate will need to dress appropriately
  
  Team Overview:
  • Candidate will initially be working with a team, then will work independently
  
  Typical working day:
  • Check in with the lead and start on work orders
  • There will be a variety of tasks
    • Painting
    • Basic electrical
    • Basic plumbing
    • General maintenance

  Required Experience:
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  
  Required Education:
  • H.S. diploma or GED
