      Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Lexington, KY

      Job Description

      As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, alteration, maintenance, service, and repair of complex component parts of machine tools, plant equipment, facilities, and buildings. You will perform high-level problem identification and troubleshooting with minimal supervision, while also training and assisting lower classified maintenance employees. You will actively participate in a team environment, working closely with other plant supervisors.

      Responsibilities

      • Repair, maintain, replace, install, and test a variety of equipment including electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment, mechanical systems, pneumatics/hydraulic systems, facility maintenance, and welding.
      • Lay out, install, and repair complex automated control systems such as programmable conveyors, CNC systems, assembly run test systems, fin power presses, powder paint systems, press breaks, and tube benders.
      • Perform complex problem identification and troubleshooting assignments, analyze equipment failures, determine causes, and make necessary adjustments.
      • Read and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and layouts, utilizing strong mechanical and electrical blueprint reading skills.
      • Ensure safety awareness by taking responsibility for personal and others' safety, understanding proper processes/equipment in the department, and maintaining cleanliness of working areas and equipment.
      • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisors and perform first article inspections for conformance to specifications.
      • Build teamwork by collaborating with other departments, shifts, and management to meet customer expectations and communicate regularly and effectively with coworkers.
      • Manage time effectively, troubleshoot and provide solutions, and collect and understand production data.
      • Perform duties during times of stress and pressure while displaying professionalism in the workplace.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics/hydraulics, electronic, facility maintenance, and welding.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to generate unique alternative solutions.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to read, communicate, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
      • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and blueprint reading.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • High school diploma or GED required.
      • Five (5) years of previous on-the-job maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
      • Completion of formal industrial, electrical, and electronics trade education, including solid state industrial electronics.
      • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and balance multiple priorities in a high-paced environment.
      • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and perform arithmetic operations.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $58240.00/yr.
