Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize hand and power tools for a variety of maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate closely with our Maintenance Supervisor to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with equipment repairs alongside our Class A or B technicians.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of our machinery and facilities.
• Take the lead on maintaining a safe work environment by proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns.
• Drive excellence by initiating purchase orders for required parts and equipment.
• Perform thorough tests on devices and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Contribute to our commitment to safety by conducting monthly testing of emergency devices.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and operate a forklift.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills for generating reports and ordering parts.
• Willingness to work overtime when required to meet business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and a passion for continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in utilizing hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers
• Adheres to instructions provided by maintenance supervisor
• Experienced in operating power tools including drills and saws
• Forklift driving experience is advantageous
• Additional experience in electrical and plumbing work is beneficial
• Focus primarily on performing facilities maintenance tasks
• Assists Class A or B tech with equipment repairs as required
• Ensures cleanliness and lubrication of equipment as per instructions
• Regularly checks and maintains fluid levels in machinery
• Capable of dismantling devices to access and replace defective parts
• Observes mechanical devices during operation, identifying and troubleshooting issues
• Conducts repairs or replacements of defective parts as needed
• Prioritizes safety, actively identifying and addressing equipment safety concerns
• Initiates purchase orders for necessary parts and equipment
• Conducts performance tests on devices and machinery
• Tests operation of machines and equipment following repairs
• Performs monthly testing of emergency devices such as lights, AED, and PIV valves, among others

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
