Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician will be maintenance, PLC, and electrical troubleshooting to support a variety of machinery and conveyors in the plant. This includes all electrical troubleshooting for the facility, such as lighting. The role requires flexibility with shift work, specifically for the night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM on a rotating schedule (3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on PLCs and electrical systems.
• Support a variety of machinery and conveyor systems in the plant.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting for facility issues, including lighting.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic pumps, photo eyes, sensors, relays, and box switches.
• Manage control panels and wire 3-phase motors.

Essential Skills

• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, especially up to 240/480V.
• Knowledge of PLC and relay logic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, 3-phase motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Ability to work with control panels and box switches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial Electrician experience with PLC preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical troubleshooting (consideration for less experience on a case-by-case basis).
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

Work Environment

This role is in a manufacturing environment with an overnight rotating shift from 6 PM to 6 AM, on a schedule of 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off. Expect to work 50+ hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, Mississippi.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
