- Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
- Recognize root causes for machine performance, makes recommendations and prepares necessary corrective action
- Ability to work with refractory bricks and mix castable to repair and build brick furnaces
- Ability to cut and weld carbon and stainless steels
- Design and install guarding and other safety equipment to meet OHSA requirements
- Perform PMs on a timely basis and provide feedback that can improve the preventative maintenance system
- Perform all duties and responsibilities safely. Ability to follow company safety policies and practice safe work habits.
- SAP Data Entry including corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, project work orders, and safety work orders. Details of actions and parts used must be entered in SAP
- Make logical decisions and perform in a quick pace environment under pressure
- Work with others including contractors to repair and build equipment
- HS Diploma required; Journeyman or similar related certification or degree a plus
- Five plus years of experience in mechanical and electrical industrial maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment
- Must be able to handle power tools in a safe manner
- Must be willing to work different shifts when needed
- Ability to cut and weld carbon and stainless steels a plus
- Masonry experience a plus (will train)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must wear PPE such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear, and eye protection
- Willing to work in a variable hot and cold working environment

Our Protective Coatings Division in Florence is a major producer of frit used in glass linings for water heater tanks. In addition to manufacturing porcelain enamel coatings for water heaters, the facility, manufactures inorganic coatings for the appliance, automotive, and metallurgical markets that are corrosion and abrasion resistant. Located in the Northern Kentucky Industrial Park just south of Cincinnati, the 80,000-square-foot building contains the offices of the division staff along with two development laboratories for the researching and testing of cost-effective protective coatings.
Primary Function
The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing equipment which includes masonry brick furnaces, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
We Offer
Regularly Scheduled Hours: Rotating Overnight (7:30 pm - 8:00 am, Week 1: Monday/Tuesday/Saturday/Sunday, Week 2: Wednesday/Thursday/Friday).
Training Scheduled Hours: Will begin training on dayshift, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Pay: $26.43 - $33.23/hr., depending on experience. $.75 shift premium as well.
