Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join our team, with openings available for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. You will be critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment according to schedule.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of wear or inefficiency and perform necessary adjustments, lubrication, and component replacements.
• Repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues on production and packaging equipment.
• Perform repairs and part replacements as needed to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues during production to prevent delays.
• Assist with the installation of new machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Support equipment upgrades and process improvements for increased efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and food safety standards.
• Participate in safety and food safety training programs.
• Document all repair and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with GFSI and other food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and parts replacement in CMMS.
• Report equipment performance issues and operational inefficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with team members and production staff about equipment status and potential issues.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, the maintenance supervisor, and production staff to respond to maintenance requests.
• Assist in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and improve equipment performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment operation and reduce downtime.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vernon Hills, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
