      Repwest Insurance, a subsidiary of U-Haul Holding Company, is seeking an experienced adjuster to work in the Major Case Unit. Under the direction of the Major Case Unit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a desk of all claims that are taken over by MCU for affirmative litigation. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be well organized.

      This position is an in-office position located at our corporate campus in Phoenix, AZ.

      Duties involve but are not limited to:

      • Reviewing files referred to the Major Case Unit (MCU) for potential dec action

      • Determining what is needed to move forward with successful dec action

      • Adjusting reserves as needed

      • Assigning file to our MCU defense attorneys

      • Ensuring adjuster follows up for dec action draft (3 weeks from assignment)

      • Reviewing and editing dec action drafts

      • Ensuring adjuster secures file stamped dec action

      • Noting service updates and seeing that defaults filed when ripe

      • Strategy calls with management, defense counsel, & U-Haul Legal as needed

      • Negotiate settlements when necessary

      • Ensure post default final judgment denials are sent to the appropriate parties

      Assisting when necessary with:

      • Reviewing/Analyzing all new correspondence received to file

      • Sending monthly status letters to involved parties

      • Manage phone calls and e-mails in a fast-paced environment

      • Acknowledge incoming suits/notifying supervisor & U-Haul Legal

      • Acknowledge LOR's & demands timely

      • Update files from monthly status reports received from Defense Counsel

      • Have the ability to prepare formal denial letters regarding coverage

      • Settling 1st & 3rd party claims using evident fraud as needed

      • Work closely with U-Haul Legal & MCU Defense Counsel

      • Work closely with FBI & NICB on their investigations

      • 2 years of handling bodily injury claims

      • Litigation knowledge/experience a plus

      • SIU knowledge/experience a plus
