- 4+ years of experience with cryptanalysis
- 4+ years of experience with conducting dynamic and static analysis of malware
- 3+ years of experience with programming in C++
- Experience with Windows Kernel, C, C++, Python, or Assembly Language
- Experience with using malware reverse engineering to determine indicators of compromise on one or more of Linux, Windows, or mobile platforms
- Ability to work in a remote team environment
- Ability to use existing frameworks to prototype, document, test, and transition capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience with a disassembler, including IDA Pro or Ghidra
- Experience with a debugger, including IDA debugger, OllyDbg, x64Dbg, WinDbg, or Immunity
- If this position is listed as remote or hybrid, you’ll periodically work from a Booz Allen or client site facility.
- If this position is listed as onsite, you’ll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for the specific role.
Malware CryptanalystKey Role:
Join a team of reverse engineers and help identify weaknesses in existing cryptographic methods utilized in adversary malware. Work with a team of professionals to perform static code analysis on malware samples, to extract indicators and identify the communications methods of the sample in question. Leverage your expertise to help create technical reports for identification parameters, advanced capabilities, and potential mitigation strategies. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizen ship is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
