About Technical Operations
BioMarinu2019s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarinu2019s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Manager, 3PL Distribution and Inventory Management is a key role as part of the EUMEA Regional Logistics. This position will have responsibilities across the clinical, commercial, and development science areas related to external warehousing (3PL / 4PL) and inventory management. The Manager, 3PL Distribution and Inventory Management is responsible for overseeing and managing external warehouse operations and ensuring inventory is appropriately controlled and managed at facilities under their remit. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of external partnership associated with distribution activities. u00A0u00A0Note that individual responsibilities may include all or part of responsibilities defined below depending on individual experience and abilities and may change to best support on going business needs.u00A0RESPONSIBILITIES
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Supply Chain Activities:
o u00A0 u00A0Oversee, consult, and engage on supply chain activities within 3PLs and distribution centers (DCs).
o u00A0 u00A0Implement best practices and fit-for-purpose work instructions (WIs), risk assessments (RAs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Contract and Cost Management:
o u00A0 u00A0Manage contracts and costs associated with 3PL and 4PL providers.
o u00A0 u00A0Negotiate terms and conditions to ensure optimal cost management.
u00A0u2022 u00A0 u00A0New Product Launches:
o u00A0 u00A0Coordinate and manage new product launches within 3PLs and DCs.
o u00A0 u00A0Ensure timely and efficient execution of launch plans.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Continuous Improvement:
o u00A0 u00A0Drive continuous improvement initiatives reflecting evolving business development and general projects.
o u00A0 u00A0Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
u2022 u00A0 u00A03PL / Distribution Center Setup and Onboarding:
o u00A0 u00A0Manage the setup and onboarding of new 3PLs / distribution centers.
o u00A0 u00A0Ensure smooth integration and operational readiness.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Relationship Building:
o u00A0 u00A0Build and develop relationships with key distribution centers and impacted internal teams.
o u00A0 u00A0Facilitate communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Expired/Obsolete Items Management:
o u00A0 u00A0Document and process expired/obsolete items at applicable distribution center partners.
o u00A0 u00A0Obtain necessary approvals from BioMarin.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Cold Chain Logistics:
o u00A0 u00A0Liaise with cold chain logistics on new shipping solutions and procurement for BioMarin activities at 3PL partners.
o u00A0 u00A0Ensure compliance with cold chain and GDP requirements.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Quality Management System (QMS):
o u00A0 u00A0Complete QMS records for deviations and change controls related to activities at distribution partners.
o u00A0 u00A0Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Lot Release Approvals:
o u00A0 u00A0Complete lot release approvals for all lots received into BioMarin managed distribution centres.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Global Distribution/Logistics Support:
o u00A0 u00A0Provide global distribution/logistics support to GEO and internal site colleagues on material transfers to and from 3PL partners.
o u00A0 u00A0Support supply chain planning colleagues on material movements.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Routine Business Meetings:
o u00A0 u00A0Schedule and maintain routine business MBR/QBR meetings with each 3PL/DC.
o u00A0 u00A0Coordinate the effective use of metrics and business targets to support internal requirements.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Inventory Analysis:
o u00A0 u00A0Analyze and be responsible for inventory and appropriate inventory levels at 3PLs against company forecasts.
o u00A0 u00A0Ensure future capacity for BioMarin products.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Technology:
o u00A0 u00A0Experience with WMS, EDI/API Integrations
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Project Management:
o u00A0 u00A0Lead or support projects at 3PL/DC such as process optimization, new product introduction, or new technology introduction.

u2022 u00A0 u00A0Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or warehousing.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Strong cross functional leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in logistics software and systems, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Proven experience with 3PL/4PL management and cold chain logistics or similar external partner management.
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, problem-solver, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
