      Accounting Manager, Treasury. Remote Candidates residing in Washington, Oregon or California are encouraged to apply.

      The Accounting Manager is responsible for all treasury related accounting functions, financial reporting, budget and forecasting for the Health Plan. The Manager establishes and maintains policies and procedures in order to ensure effective, accurate and timely reporting, following applicable accounting standards (GAAP, SAP, etc.) as well as ensuring strong internal controls are achieved and maintained. The Manager will work closely with internal and external customers and business partners. Management and development of accounting staff.

      Providence Health Plan is calling a Manager Accounting who will:

      • Manage all treasury related accounting functions in order to prepare accurate and timely financial reporting for all Health Plan entities.
      • Hire, develop and provide performance reviews for direct reports.
      • Develop & maintain accounting policies, procedures and work flow processes in order to assure accurate and complete financial reporting with strong internal controls.
      • Manage the preparation, review, accuracy and timeliness of the annual cash budget and multi year cash financial forecasting.
      • Coordinate and collaborate with Finance Analytics and Underwriting to assure coordinate of estimates and analysis used in financial reporting are accounted for accurately and timely.
      • Manage and/or participate in projects impacting accounting and financial reporting including system upgrades, conversions, implementation of new products and new business requirements.
      • Primary contact for all financial audits performed by internal audit, external auditors and regulatory auditors for Treasury related matters.
      • Review and approve all documents supporting month end close and accurate financial reporting including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
      • Responsible for providing financial data and reporting as needed to senior leadership, PH&S System Office and Regulatory reporting agencies.
      • Develop and monitor accounting department performance standards.

      Required qualifications for this position include:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
      • 5+ years of accounting experience
      • Lead or supervisory/management experience

      Preferred qualifications for this position include:

      • Healthcare insurance experience
      • CPA

      • California: All Northern California - Except Humboldt: Min: $61.04, Max: $96.35
      • California: All Southern California - Except Bakersfield: Min: $54.40, Max: $85.88
      • California: Bakersfield: Min: $52.19, Max: $82.39
      • Oregon: Non-Portland Service Area: Min: $48.65, Max: $76.80
      • Oregon: Portland Service Area: Min: $52.19, Max: $82.39
      • Washington: Western - Except Tukwila: Min: $54.40, Max: $85.88
