Lead development, implementation, and operations of both accounting and decision support systems by working closely with relevant teams.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to function (e.g., payroll, accounts payable, travel processes), in accordance with St. Jude's regulatory requirements.
Lead reporting/ dashboards in own area ensuring quality and accuracy, and highlight issues or gaps to senior management.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to drive collaboration and alignment between multiple teams.
Coordinate and monitor compliance with best practices around financial accounting/payroll/taxation procedures.
Support overall planning of major accounting and financial reporting systems for the organization.
Manage a team of direct reports through goal setting, performance management, development, and engagement.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field of study required.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum Requirement: 6+ years of accounting experience working with a general ledger and/or related financial information systems.
Strong experience with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IRS, US GAAP, Uniform Guidance, hospital regulations) within specific area.
Experience presenting in team meetings and/or to senior management.
Experience managing people as direct reports
Proven performance in earlier role.
Strong Excel skills preferred
Professional certification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Research Accountant (CRA)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA)) preferred.

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
