What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute the entire model development lifecycle, from prototype to delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share information and diverse ideas
- Ensure timely and well-managed deliverables
- Implement innovative approaches to solve real-world challenges
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of Applied Scientists and Research Engineers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD in a relevant discipline or Master’s with comparable experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building information retrieval/NLP systems for commercial applications
- Prior management experience in coaching and developing teams
- Experience writing production code and delivering well-managed software
- Expertise in Python development, MLOps, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience innovating state-of-the-art research to address real-world problems
- Experience designing solutions with large language models
- Relevant publications in top-tier conferences (ACL, EMNLP, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
