      Main Purpose of the Role :

      To manage the people, clients, and deliverables of the branch, ensuring that it is aligned with the overall objectives of the organization and that company resources are optimally utilized to achieve operational and financial targets of DSV Solutions Durban site.

      Job Related Requirements:

      • Grade 12 certificate
      • Diploma or Degree in Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain, and/or Business Management/Administration will be an advantage
      • Minimum of 4 years management experience.
      • Minimum of 3 years people management experience.
      • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the following areas;
        • Operations management
        • Industrial Relations
        • Customer / Client relationship management
        • Transport management
      • 3 years budgeting and financial controls experience.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of the LRA and BCEA Industrial Relations
      • Self-motivated and assertive
      • Good communication skills
      • Ability to manage and develop team skills and leadership
      • Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
      • Own vehicle with valid driver’s license.

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Ensure that the Durban Healthcare site achieve and maintain high operational standards in accordance with the set Client / Customer SLA’s to ensure operational KPI’s are met;
      • Ensure that the Durban Healthcare site complies with all aspects of the internal audit process and risk management objectives to ensure branch effectiveness in areas not specified in the Standard Operating Procedures, Corporate Governance guidelines, general administration and relevant legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, NBC, BBBEE, and OHS);
      • Ensure 3rd party contracts are administered according to company processes and procedures to ensure service standards are met in non-core functions and to comply with legislation (BBBEE);
      • Contribute to the overall company profitability through ongoing cost control and increased productivity at branch level;
      • Ensure that customer service standards and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met by achieving deliveries and collections within the required standard to ensure client satisfaction;
      • Liaise with internal and external Clients / Customers by completing regular visits according to the client matrix schedule to ensure customer service standards are met;
      • Identify opportunities and threats within the business environment that may impact on the business’s ability to achieve company goals and objectives;
      • Identify and mitigate risks within the business environment that may impact on DSV Healthcare freight/movements;
      • Security on site and security of loads;
      • Vehicle control and maintenance;
      • Asset control;
      • Internal and external reporting
      • Ability to work shifts and weekends
      • Ability to travel

      Additional Computer Skills

      • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
      • Delta and FutureWave will be an advantage
