Job Description

- Lead a team of Supervisors and front-line collectors to ensure they are meeting quality collection follow-ups and productivity standards established for the AR functions.
- Identify areas for improvement and work at developing direct reports and front-line staff in the areas of job knowledge and performance (quality and productivity).
- Analyze EOB denials and determine steps necessary to correct claims.
- Direct all receivable, credit, and collection policies, goals, and objectives directed by senior management, responsible for their implementation and compliance.
- The efficient collection of open accounts receivable, developing policy and procedures, and working with assigned groups to ensure compliance with stated credit and payment terms.
- Provide financial analysis and trend reports related to identifying process improvements and reducing costs; make recommendations based on information generated.
- Train, support, facilitate, and perform analysis as needed in billing, cash application, settlements, credit card processing, credit and collections, and other financial processes.
- Analyze information and processes and develop more effective and efficient processes and strategies.
- Utilize management reports and KPIs to monitor status of A/R to ensure appropriate billing and timely collections.
- Communicate department issues to the Director.
- Hire, train, motivate, and coach employees as they provide attentive, efficient service, assessing employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- Maintain high level of written and oral communication with internal departments.
- Performs special projects and other necessary billing assignments per request.
- Regular and reliable attendance required.
- High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in insurance accounts receivable collections, including managerial experience.
- High-level spreadsheet operation skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and other analytical platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and accurately process numerical data and use it to create and present detailed reports and dashboards that report on and track metrics.
- Once identified, must have experience implementing process improvements and vendor management processes.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically working with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence internal and external constituents.
- Ability to interact with all levels of leadership, influence change and the adoption of vendor management concepts, and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives with a problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to handle responsibilities that are complex with results that may have long-range implications.

The Manager Central Billing Office (CBO) manages the activities of the accounts receivable department. The Manager CBO ensures that effective collection is completed in an accurate and timely manner., supervises and oversees accounts receivable team’s daily activities through accounts review and provides ongoing skills development, hands-on problem-solving and motivational people management. The Manager CBO ensures the appropriate processing of denials using constant communication and follow up with staff and upper management. The Manager CBO accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity/quality standards.
Work Schedule: Our Manager CBO role is offered on a Remote First basis, allowing the candidate to be based anywhere in the country.
