      Summary

      The Apple Music Business Partnerships team is the strategic business owner that leads our label partner and content provider relationships. The partnerships team works cross-functionally across the entire Apple organization to action business, editorial, operational priorities, with the ultimate goal of identifying and driving mutual growth opportunities. Our team is always-on, working with partners to educate, develop best practices, create new content initiatives, while leading across the vast Apple eco-system. Apple Music is looking for a senior team member to focus on the creative development of new artist and creative industry facing initiatives. The role will work to develop content plans, strategic proposals, and partner facing activations that align with Apple Music’s editorial and business propositions. Role will also work closely with internal Apple teams such as Apple TV+, Apple Retail, and creative services, to name a few. We are looking for a candidate that is highly motivated, loves creative thinking and strategic ideation, and has a deep passion for working with the global music community and industry partners.

      Key Qualifications

      • Ten+ years of experience at subscription service, media agency, music industry (rights holder, manager, live) or commercial digital music/media platform.
      • You have a deep understanding of the current global musical and cultural landscape, with the ability to speak to a wide of a variety of genres.
      • Exceptional ability to present to organizational leadership, senior external executives, and to build large-scale campaign plans, and industry facing communication tools.
      • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to lead multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic team-focused environment.
      • Comprehensive experience in the music industry, event management, or content development, with an emphasis on content strategy.
      • Experience developing and running complex, large-scale, promotional schedules.
      • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Substantial relationship building skills.
      • Uncompromising ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Exceedingly responsive, passionately proactive, thoughtful problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.
      • An innovative and critical thinker with a strategic approach to communication of editorial and business efforts.
      • Strategic understanding of key trends impacting the music industry, emerging business models, and music subscription services.
      • A passion for discovering new music and culturally relevant content events across the genre spectrum.
      • You'll have a deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware.
      • Extensive experience with Keynote and strong design skills required.

      Description

      Senior leader focused on building thoughtful, innovative, and best in class strategic content and business activations. Role is responsible for overseeing the development of special project industry plans for domestic and international teams. Role will work closely with cross-functional and industry partners to create Spatial Audio focused, and new to be developed content initiatives for Apple Music. Ability to effectively project manage across diverse creative, editorial, and partnerships organizations on creation of new business concepts. Comfortable developing, creating materials for, and leading creative workshop sessions, small industry events, and senior business reviews. Highly organized individual able to manage multiple projects with detailed tracking. Clear and concise communicator with impeccable design, and excellent writing and public presentations skills. Thrives working under tight timelines, and with challenging deadlines. Identifying long-term content initiatives in parallel with the Apple Music Editorial team, and Business teams, creating unique and new opportunities. Domestic and international travel may be required; up to 20%.

      Education & Experience

      Degree in Business / Music Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar creative field preferred.

      • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,100 and $276,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
