      Job Purpose

      To ensure compliance to Nedbank’s policies and procedures by facilitating acceptable credit risk decision making in order to fulfil management’s regulatory and compliance reporting.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Managing Credit Administration team

      • Manage Quality Check process of all Facility Letters; Collateral/Security Documentation to ensure correct completion of Collateral Documentation and ensuring that all Facility Letters/Agreements include all necessary terms and conditions stipulated in terms of the respective Credit Approval, and that all documentation are legally in good order.

      • Manage Collateral administration of all loans.

      • Manage administration of loan re-advances and cancellations.

      • Dealing with all stakeholders, attorneys, estate agents, developers.

      • Manage the maintenance around loans/collateral/guarantees.

      • Manage and administer loan guarantees.

      • Ensure compliance for the department by monitoring adherence to service level agreements (SLA), policies and procedures.

      • Minimize financial risk by ensuring accuracy of processed activities.

      • Reduce revenue leakage by optimizing revenue collection processes.

      • Provide risk advice to assist and enable business to achieve its risk objectives by developing; managing and executing policies; procedures; practices of a risk nature.

      • Ensure the requirements of risk; governance and compliance are addressed by embedding a risk culture within Nedbank.

      Job Responsibilities Continue

      • Make decisions by applying credit management principles and considering merits on individual basis

      • Make accurate, effective and consistent decisions by complying to service level agreements.

      • Ensure that all loan instructions are carried out promptly.

      • Report on the risk management process by generating and presenting risk reports.

      • Meet internal stakeholder requirements by providing governance, policy, and advisory services.

      • Provide strategic recommendations that are well supported through insights to relevant decision-making body to improve risk management processes and practices.

      • Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future training and development needs.

      • Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements, ensuring a clear vision, agreeing on goals and objectives, providing regular feedback on performance, recognizing and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.

      • Provide advice by responding to ad hoc risk requests and queries.

      Key Competencies

      • Excellent knowledge of the bank’s products and systems

      • Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

      • Good administration & problem-solving skills.

      • Ability to work accurately and under pressure.

      • Must be organized, disciplined and highly professional.

      • Customer service driven.

      Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

      • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
      • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

      Educational Requirements:

      Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Legal or related studies

      Minimum Experience Level

      • Three (3) years Management experience

      • Six (6) years banking experience

      • Flexcube knowledge would be an added advantage.
