      Req#: 1710

      The Distribution Center Manager oversees the functions of the distribution center including shipping, receiving, loading and unloading, picking and packing, scheduling, inventory control, loss prevention, and budget.

      This position will serve our Replacement Parts Division, located in West Vallley, UT. This position could support either our day shift of Tuesday through Friday, 6:00am - 4:30pm OR our evening shift of Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am.

      Qualifications

      • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
      • Typically requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
      • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.
      • Experience in a distribution environment.
      • Supervisory experience.
      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
      • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
      • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
      • Ability to operate Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
      • Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects a must.

      Responsibilities

      • Ensures the cost-effective and timely distribution of materials.
      • Oversees budgets, manpower and maintenance of department.
      • Trains and directs distribution staff.
      • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
      • Monitor and ensure optimal resources utilization within the distribution center.
      • Continually monitor and adjust product pathing for the most efficient picking routes.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
