- Understanding best practice in both Corporate and ESG reporting, policies and practices.
- Assisting with external reporting on the Bank’s environmental approach and progress, including project management and development of our ESG reporting including the Bank’s Climate Report.
- Project management, completion and analysis of ESG and climate-related surveys (e.g. CDP, S&P CSA, Sustainalytics, MSCI etc.)
- Assisting with drafting and coordinating ESG-related responses for a variety of stakeholders
- Awareness and understanding of best practice approaches to climate mitigation and adaptation from a corporate/financial institution perspective, including monitoring trends that may impact CBA domestic and global operations.
- Providing insights and informed advice to business units on external operating environment to help them implement our environmental commitments and produce reliable, quality and timely information used for external reporting
- Developing and maintaining digital assets (Sustainability Reporting webpage content)
- Collaborating with external suppliers, external auditors and internal teams, including Risk Management, Climate Strategy, Social Impact, Group Finance, and Digital Channels, on shared priorities and projects
- Leading the verification and assurance process of key external disclosures and reports
- Ad hoc analysis, benchmarking and research to support best practice reporting

- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to communicate complex technical matters in a clear, compelling, and persuasive manner
- Have excellent time and project management skills with a strong attention to detail
- A good understanding of sustainability, ESG measurement and reporting, including knowledge and experience of international sustainability frameworks, guidelines and standards (e.g. GRI, ISSB, SASB, SDGs, TNFD, NGER etc.)
- Understanding of how ESG issues create or impact value in the CBA business and how stakeholders use ESG information to inform decisions
- A solid understanding of, and demonstrated interest in the CBA Group, the financial community and the financial services industry is also desirable
- Previous experience in external reporting, investor relations, banking, ESG consultancy, social/environmental policy or environmental management will be highly regarded
- Proficient in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint).

Investor Relations, ESG Reporting and Climate Advisory facilitates the accurate and effective communication of the Bank’s performance and strategy with investors and the wider investment community, enabling them to make informed choices about CBA as an investment option.
The team’s key responsibilities include: investor communications; managing relationships with equity and debt investors; communicating with equity, debt and ESG analysts; managing market updates and providing advice to the Bank on market sentiment, disclosures and sustainability issues. We are also responsible for meeting our external environmental reporting commitments as required under global frameworks and associations, sustainability ratings and surveys.
Do work that matters
As a Manager, ESG Reporting & Advisory you will support the development of the Bank’s strategic reporting projects such as the Climate Report, Sustainability Reports and climate-related surveys. You will be able to draw insights from global frameworks and other information sources to drive a continuous improvement program that informs our external ESG reporting. You will also assist in collating responses to other ESG surveys; the management of digital assets, including our Sustainability Reporting pages; and helping develop the Bank’s understanding of emerging sustainability frameworks such as the International Sustainability Standards Board’s (ISSB) disclosures.
This is a dynamic position that will see you involved in a wide spectrum of issues, and working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. The role is critical to effective communication and engagement with investors, analysts and relevant market participants on the Bank’s sustainability performance.
