AnitaB.org is a global leader committed to advancing careers and expanding economic opportunity within the tech industry. As a solution-oriented convener, we create programs and pathways that fuel human potential, ensuring individuals are seen, heard, and empowered to thrive in a rapidly evolving world of work.

We are driven by a bold mission: to get our community in tech skilled, hired, promoted, paid, and funded so they can lead, innovate, and shape a more impartial and sustainable future. Through dynamic programs, thought leadership, and gatherings like Grace Hopper Celebration, we build ecosystems of support where people can grow, connect, and lead without compromising who they are.

At AnitaB.org, we believe progress begins with truth, empathy, and the courage to reimagine what’s possible for everyone .

As the Manager, Event Content, you will support the development execution of our event content, to include the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), the world’s largest conference for women technologists. You will report to the Director, Global Events, and will be responsible for shaping the attendee experience by designing the session agenda, curating compelling content and managing speaker engagement.

      Here's what you'll do

      • Develop the overall content strategy, session themes, and learning objectives that align with conference goals and audience needs.
      • Identify key topics and trends relevant to attendees.
      • Design event agenda including keynotes, panels, workshops, and breakout sessions.
      • Source, vet and secure engaging and qualified speakers and facilitators.
      • Manage the Call for Papers and Call for volunteers process annually.
      • Manage speaker outreach, invitations, and contracts.
      • Serve as the main point of contact for all speakers’ pre-event and on-site.
      • Build and manage a detailed session schedule.
      • Coordinate with production, AV, and logistics to support speaker needs.
      • Monitor session performance for attendee feedback and continuous improvement.
      • Work closely with marketing team on deadlines, registration updates and program promotions.
      • Complete additional tasks as assigned, which means to be agile and rise to the challenge: in service to our mission, from time to time, we do ask team members to take on, or volunteer to take on, additional or different duties outside of their formal job description.

Here's what we hope you'll bring

      • Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, and respect.
      • 3+ years of event content experience for large scale events.
      • Project management expertise to execute complex events with extensive understanding of event content curation.
      • Experience working with CFP/CFV.
      • Ability to stay on task and meet multiple deadlines and deliverables, simultaneously, as well as keeping contributors on task.
      • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
      • Enthusiastic about learning and using new technology.
      • Experience preparing and leading meetings with internal & external stakeholders.
      • Experience with in-person and virtual events.
      • Ability to travel as position requires.
