Job Summary Responsible for managing the daily activities of the Government/Regulatory Affairs department. Assists with local regulatory, franchise compliance, and public policy matters for assigned geographic area. Implements legislative strategies, monitors legislation and coordinates state association management. Job Description Core Responsibilities Manages local and statewide franchise compliance efforts for assigned franchises consistent with the strategies and policies for the market area. Participates in franchise compliance review with municipalities and/or their consultants. These efforts include but are not limited to programming and price adjustment notifications; and managing customer concerns that are routed to local franchising authorities ensuring timely response and follow-up Supports the CA Region External Affairs team in the counties of Monterey, Santa Cruz and other areas as needed and is responsible for creating, establishing and maintaining relationships on behalf of the company with elected officials, business leaders and community influencers in those specific locations Attends and organizes meetings, events and functions related to business and community partnerships on behalf of the company Monitors and tracks city/county agendas and local ordinances for items related to the business Schedules meetings with local franchising authority and tracks progress and discussion topics Drafts, analyzes and/or presents legislation, amendments, and testimony as necessary. Oversees franchise-required construction installation of complimentary cable services to public buildings, including the negotiation of any additional terms and conditions with Local Franchise Authorities (LFA) Reviews, interprets and communicates meanings of the terms and conditions of franchises, franchise-related agreements, programmatic changes and other contracts for implementation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards Monitors correspondence from local franchisees Provides support and testimony as necessary for small claims court proceedings on behalf of the company Monitor/respond to potential government broadband activities Manages service complaints associated with complimentary services Oversees additional duties related to community affairs Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Relevant Work Experience 5-7 Years Salary: Primary Location Pay Range: $113,663.76 - $170,495.64 Additional Range: This job can be performed in California with a Pay Range of $104,570.66 - $170,495.64 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
