Support the Group Privacy Office in driving Group-wide privacy change and implementation activities.
Support the Group Chief Privacy Officer in identifying and managing accountabilities across various frameworks and policies.
Analyse data to generate insights, including data visualisation for Group stakeholders for various governance forums.
Contribute to team administration and maintenance of key Group Privacy Office processes, procedures, controls and compliance arrangements.
Understand the privacy regulatory environment and monitor for material changes, including the Consumer Data Right.
Advise on the translation of privacy (including Consumer Data Right) obligations into business requirements.
Support on privacy incidents and the assessment of whether the regulator and impacted individual/s needs to be notified of a data breach.
Provide guidance and compliance advice to the Group and Business Units.
Experience or background in Compliance, Regulation, Legal, Risk or Controls.
Demonstrated ability in dealing with privacy or other compliance matters.
Very strong communication skills and ability to manage through influence.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make sound judgments under tight deadlines.
Preferable understanding of relevant privacy laws and regulations (and preferably Consumer Data Right) and applicability to various business practices.
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex frameworks and operational environments relating to compliance risk.
Proven ability of visually communicating complex data and insights.
Manager, Office of the Group Chief Privacy Officer
The CBA Group Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) is supported by a small team of highly skilled privacy professionals who assist] the CPO to set and maintain the Group’s Privacy risk management framework and oversee the effectiveness of, and compliance with, this framework. This includes understanding how the Privacy framework interacts with the Group’s other risk management and compliance frameworks, the ownership and maintenance of Group-wide controls, the management of regulatory change following legislative reform, as well as regulatory interactions and breach reporting.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated young professional to learn and make an outsized contribution to the running of the day-to-day operations of the CPO’s Office for the largest organisation in Australia serving 15 million customers and with a presence in 10 international jurisdictions.
