- This job is a member of the Hubs & Gateways Team within the Customer Experience Division.
- Responsible for leading a group of management and support staff responsible for all aspects of Customer Operations planning.
- Serves as a planning and analytical leader for the 3rd largest airline hub in the world.
- Leads deeper understanding of operational environment and develops improvement initiatives.
- Drives root cause analysis to identify challenges with baggage performance, on time performance, operational readiness, resource deployment issues, etc.
- Partners with headquarters to thoroughly analyze schedules, forecasts, resource models and performance goals.
- Partners with finance to ensure alignment with the budgets and forecasts.
- Leads development and delivery of resource need justifications (5 pts.), ensures hub is resources. optimally for headcount, leadership, ground equipment, etc.
- Acts as a comptroller for the hub, ensuring cost efficiencies and cost controls.
- Develops strategies to engage the frontline team through analytical story telling.
- Leads passenger and bags forecasting to develop processes and plans.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of business, operational, and financial background with experience in data analysis, operational analysis, manpower planning, financial analysis, forecasting, etc.
- Ability to extract data from the databases, SQL
- Degree in finance, engineering or an analytical discipline
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Ability to develop, lead and motivate employees.
- Ability to build relationships with operational leadership as well as headquarters.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement as well as having prior success in implementing strategic initiatives.
- Strong presentation, organization and planning skills.
- Ability to develop compelling business cases.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
