Last Mile Safety and Performance (LMSP) Operations supports programs that focus on ensuring that Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), Delivery Associates (DAs), Transporters, customers, and community members have safe, trusted experiences throughout package delivery. LMSP Operations partners with multiple programs across the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) and Last Mile organization. We provide these programs with execution support operational, case management, and investigation support. Partners include but are not limited to: DA Focus, Service Level Standards (SLS), On Road Conduct & Safety (ORCAS), DSP Relations and Risk, Transporter Safety in the Community, High Severity Incidents, and Last Mile Analytics and Quality (LMAQ).
The LMSP Operations team is seeking a talented Manager III, Operations Manager to join our team! This role will lead a team of managers with a focus on the DAF program
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the performance management and development plans of a large team of specialists and operations managers; Ensure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a regular basis
• Provide regular, formal & informal feedback and performance reviews to direct reports
• Builds collaborative relationships with program managers to gain alignment on changes, surface pain points and solve key problems; balances impact of added scope and operational capacity
• Oversee ongoing projects related to SOP improvements, training efforts, and tech implementation
• Present operational call-outs to leadership during business reviews
• Manage ongoing process improvement projects as outlined by stakeholders, managers, or self-identified
• Support, mentor, and motivate team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive programs operationally that enable DSPs and Transporters to be safe and successful
• Think Big across the Last Mile space, delivering holistic, scalable solutions
• Operate and deliver in a fast-paced environment
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Nashville, TN, USA- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Direct management experience, comprising both a salaried workforce, hourly and agency strong workforce
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, etc.- 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems
- Good problem-solving skills: acts decisively, promptly and confidently. Not afraid to contradict others and proactively offering solutions.
