      The Amazon Fresh Grocery Retail Inbound team is seeking an exceptional Manager of Instock Management with experience in people management plus: vendor management, supply chain management, or inventory/business analysis. In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable coaching and developing your team, driving business decisions in an ambiguous work environment, interfacing and coordinating with various functional teams both internally and externally, and driving results through both quantitative and qualitative strategies with your directs. A successful Manager, Instock Management candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work with data independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. The team's work includes a mix of long-term strategic projects and short-term tactical tasks in the supply chain space.

      Key job responsibilities
      - Lead and oversee the Instock function, including demand planning, ordering, and capacity management, ensuring optimal inventory availability and health.
      - Collaborate closely with technical and product teams to design and implement sustainable Instock systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
      - Champion initiatives aimed at boosting in-stock rates, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
      - Build strong relationships with Vendor Managers, Product and Program Managers, and Merchandising Managers to align strategies and improve in-store experiences for customers.
      - Drive analysis and optimization of inventory management systems and processes, employing your strategic negotiation skills and deep understanding of supply chain dynamics.
      - Embrace challenges and dive deep into complex problems, offering innovative solutions that challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.

      Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | New York, NY, USA | Santa Monica, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Planning, Information Systems Management
      - 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or Inventory Management or equivalent experience such as Consulting, Finance, or Operations
      - Has lead teams and has the ability to drive through his/her team
      - Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions
      - Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
      - Advanced Excel skills
      - Familiarity with the principles of statistical inventory control
      - MBA with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering
      - Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models - Strong proficiency in analytical tools including: Microsoft Excel, SQL and statistical software
      - Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $208,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
