      Join Cottage Health the Manager of Interpreter Services. The Manager of Interpreter Services is responsible for the leadership, direction, productivity and performance of Interpreter Services' staff, contract interpreters, CHS Qualified Bilingual individuals and volunteers. The leader in this role will both support an environment of equity and inclusion, and promote a "Patient's First" environment, quality outcomes, measurable productivity, cultivate strong interdisciplinary teamwork, and support an over-all value-oriented experience. These tenets will be in support of key stakeholders and all persons with communication challenges and varying ability statuses served.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      LEVEL OF EDUCATION

      Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in languages, communication, or health related field.

      Preferred: Master's Degree in languages, communication, or health related field.

      CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

      Preferred: Completion of a healthcare interpreter training that (1) is administered by an accredited educational institution OR (2) is recognized by the California Health Care Interpreting Association (CHIA) or International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA) that exceeds 200 contact hours

      TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

      Minimum: Native fluency in Spanish with demonstrated health care competencies (vocabulary). Sufficiently proficient and comfortable working with basic technology (e.g. computer, software systems, telephones, iPads). Basic understanding of regulatory and accreditation criteria related to medical interpreting in acute care settings.

      YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

      Minimum: 2 years of experience interpreting Spanish-English.

      Preferred: At least 5 years of experience interpreting Spanish English in a healthcare setting, including experience with end-of-life, trauma, or other similarly delicate situations. Two years administrative supervisory or consultative responsibilities.
