      Job Summary:

      Under the direction of the Assistant Director, IT Business Systems, the IT Manager, Business Systems, oversees and manages the acquisition, control, and maintenance of financial and business-related applications. This role is responsible for managing the Business Systems Operational Support team which consists of technical and functional analysts, application developers, and system administrators. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and the Information Systems division. The role is also responsible for managing vendor relationships for SaaS and cloud-hosted environments, regular and customary maintenance activities and product updates, oversight of application fixes, patches, and upgrades provided by the vendor, as well as oversight of customizations to the delivered products and in-house custom development. This leadership position is responsible for managing a variety of non-clinical finance and human capital management system related software. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and the Information Systems division.

      Managing the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a day-to-day basis, including technical support for individual tasks.

      • Determining time and resources needed to complete assignments and leading team members in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks and projects.
      • People management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews.
      • Developing and maintaining procedures that support team activities and leading individuals in adhering to and supporting team procedures/standards.
      • Managing and preparing for budget cycles.
      • Analyzes products and recommends the use of new technologies and services to senior management.
      • Manages application access and use.
      • Establishes and implements policies and procedures for application acquisition and usage throughout the institution.
      • Assigns work to application Project Leaders and analysts. Establishes action plans and priorities. Oversees payroll for assigned employees.
      • Recruits, maintains and supervises a workforce for acquisition and support of computer system applications. Counsels, appraises, disciplines and rewards employees.
      • Oversees budgeting and long-range planning for human resources, computer system applications and office management for assigned responsibilities.
      • Initiates and participates in contract negotiations; monitors and authorizes invoice payments. Prepares activity, progress, quality and trend reports.
      • Demonstrated competence in the following Leadership functions, abilities, and skills: Planning, Organizing, Directing, Staffing, Coordinating, Reporting, budgeting.
      • LEAN/Six Sigma Process Improvement, and Ability to lead effectively in a Matrix Organization.
      • Demonstrated ability to Solve Problems, Influence People, Adapt Approaches, and Deliver Results.
      • Strong knowledge including experience with any combination of the following partial list of core systems: UKG Pro WFM (formerly Dimensions), Hyland OnBase, RL Datix RL6, EDCO Solarity, and others.
      • Skills must include a working understanding of architecture, infrastructure, and networking impacts as an application owner.
      • Experience in client engagement and capacity management with excellent leadership and communication skills.
      • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field
      • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing and mentoring business application support teams and managing an information technology organization.
      • Proven people leader with an appetite to mentor and develop a team
      • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
      • Having a wide breadth of experience, the manager applies business process and analysis with organizational objectives to resolve complex issues.
      • Experience working with Managed Services Teams and hosted environments.
      • Possess 7-10 years technical experience administering, supporting and implementing business application systems such as:
        • UKG Pro WFM (formerly Dimensions).
        • Hyland OnBase.
        • EDCO Solarity.
        • RL Datix RL6.
        • Verity CredentialStream.
        • Johnson Controls (JCI) Metasys.
        • Steris SPM.
        • Others as Assigned
