      1. Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives including but not limited to departmental and system Quality assurance program, Safety, Environmental and Infection control standards.
      2. Provides operations management in issues relating to service line oversight, employees adhering to roles and responsibilities, logistics management and related operational issues.
      3. Responsibility for all logistics processes related to medical surgical supplies in an efficient manner, ensuring a minimum of loss and/or waste.
      4. Oversees and manages insource and outsourced (ad-hoc) courier services including scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and other operational issues.
      5. Manages the replenishment process for medical/surgical supplies for all nursing areas, clinical departments, and other alternate sites as directed.
      6. Manages the offsite warehouse, ensuring that pandemic, disaster, or other applicable stock is rotated and managed to best practice.
      7. Responsible for storeroom layout, maintenance and organization, including compliance with JCAHO or other regulatory requirements.
      8. Oversees the receiving and shipping processes, including updating for the ERP system, use of 3rd party logistics companies, and accurate deliveries to final destinations in a timely manner.
      9. Manages the expired or wasted product process for areas under their direction. Makes appropriate reporting to supply chain leadership or finance as directed.
      10. Oversees staff scheduling, human resource activities, up to and including organizational compliance to policies and procedures, hiring and termination and application of disciplinary procedures.
      11. As applicable, manages supply chain technology applicable to areas under their direction, ensures compliance with technical benchmarks to reduce errors and variability.
      12. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
      13. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned.
      14. Must be courteous to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
      15. Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.
      16. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.
      17. Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.

      • Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) from a four year college or university or equivalent experience.
      • Two - five years related Supply Chain Logistics/Warehousing/Replenishment experience. Specific healthcare/hospital related experience is preferred.
      • Experience with Peoplesoft Supply Chain Management or equivalent application.
      • Established high level use of all MS/Office systems and tools including but not limited to Excel, Word, Access, Project and PowerPoint.
      • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a timely manner.
      • Ability to effectively convey and present relevant information to stakeholders and customers.
      • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
      • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
