- Daily monitoring of risk exposures for Rates and Macro Trading.
- Follow up market risk related issues e.g. investigate and escalate limit excesses, potential concerns.
- Develop knowledge in bonds and IR derivatives and become a key team member facing the business.
- Provide risk / market analysis on key IRD markets for daily / weekly / monthly risk updates (highlight key risk issues where appropriate) and provide ad hoc analysis as required on an event basis.
- Build a technical understanding of the Rates and Macro Trading business, products and limits structure.
- Perform monthly regulatory reporting including RNIV, FDSF and MAS.
- Assist senior managers to prepare market commentary.
- Help reviewing risk control framework (including but not restricted to portfolio maintenance and risk reporting).
- Perform user acceptance testing to support rollout of technology projects involving market risk.
- Participation in ad hoc projects and requests.
- Perform data quality review of VaR time series.
- Liaise with traders and Market Risk teams regarding market data issues affecting P&L and risk.
- Develop familiarity with the market data related static data in SABRE and Asset Control.
- Assist with new market data set up and associated historical rate generation where required.
- Ensure effective management of operational risks within the Function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
- Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of Market Risk for Rates and Macro Trading.
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values within the Function and across the wider organisation.
- Align the Group's Market risk management approach for Rates and Macro Trading to the Risk Management Framework and oversee its effective application.
- Develop and maintain risk identification, measurement and modelling capabilities for Rates and Macro Trading that are objective, consistent and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues for Rates and Macro Trading are reported to the responsible risk governance committees and to the Board Risk Committee.
- Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with regulators.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or any quantitative discipline (Science, Engineering).
- 2 years of experience in Market risk experience preferred. CFA and FRM certifications would be advantageous.
- Good IT skills (eg Microsoft Office suite, VBA, Python)
- Takes ownership of assigned tasks and can manage mini-projects to final delivery.
- Willing to learn and be able to overcome a steep learning curve in a relatively short period.
