- Develops and implements property and market based plans based on local need-time and demand generation opportunities.
- Maintains and grows hotel business with effective marketing plans and programs.
- Focuses on marketing initiatives to create customer loyalty and increase market share.
- Focuses on building hotel’s top line revenue by executing against the sales strategy.
- Analyzes and directs the property in decisions for marketing opportunities.
- Provides marketing channel mix (e.g. advertising (on and off line), promotions, public relations, direct mail, email, and demand generator links) planning as part of the overall property and market cluster plans.
- Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
- Coordinate with marketing operations and other site marketing programs on new initiatives to increase production in channels.
- Identify trends when production is not meeting budget expectations and implement solutions.
- Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to delegate, effectively train, and coach.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
Overview
This position at The Woodlands Resort supports the organization in generating profitable revenue to increase RevPAR, market share, and brand awareness for the Hotel. Leverages marketing programs at the property and market level ensuring marketing efforts are effectively integrated with selling efforts for the organization. Monitors relevant national marketing programs, channels, platforms, and initiatives.
