- Leads the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced and highly dynamic Medical Affairs team, empowering the team to provide exceptional experiences and execute on strategy and human resources processes for 1,400 professional staff and over 100 professional staff leaders. This includes, but is not limited to:
- professional staff HR planning;
- frontline professional staff and professional staff leader recruitment;
- professional staff credentialing and annual reappointment;
- professional staff onboarding;
- professional staff contracting, payroll and financial management;
- professional staff model of care consultation and guidance;
- professional staff quality of care and code of conduct case management;
- professional staff communications, wellbeing, recognition and engagement;
- professional staff leadership development, succession planning and talent management;
- Act as a trusted advisor and provide highly reliable, expert support and Medical Affairs expertise to leaders, frontline providers and stakeholders across the organization regarding matters pertaining to professional staff;
- Ensure Medical Affairs processes are executed in compliance with the Public Hospitals Act and Trillium Health Partners’ Professional Staff By-Laws and other relevant policies and procedures;
- Oversee development and management of Medical Affairs Policies and procedures;
- Advise, consult, and successfully execute on projects, workstreams and/or deliverables for existing and new initiatives which are then transitioned to operational partners with a sustainability plan when required;
- Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with relevant stakeholder groups, including, but not limited to, the Professional Staff Association;
- Identify, support and integrate principles of equity and diversity into all Medical Affairs standard processes;
- Support the growth and development of the Medical Affairs team while serving as an authentic, effective and holistic leader;
- Oversee all Medical Affairs team operational activities, including performance management, financial monitoring, and internal/external reporting;
- Provide inclusive, effective leadership, development and coaching of direct reports;
- Support the Medical Affairs team through effective relationship building and building strong connections with clinical and enabling programs and services including but not limited to, Patient Care Services, Professional Practice, Quality and Risk, Clinical Systems, People Team and Equity and Anti Racism office.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration or a health related discipline or equivalent experience working in a teaching hospital environment;
- Previous experience in progressive leadership position(s) with strong general management experience preferred;
- A proven track record of innovation and achievements is considered essential;
- Strong change management and project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Demonstrated ability to deal with competing, challenging, and changing priorities;
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders and clients;
- Ability to propose and negotiate strategies with senior level executives and to work independently with defined objectives and direction;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
- Demonstrated success leading high performing project teams;
- Track record of success and commitment to a culture of partnership and engagement with a focus on high quality deliverables and customer service;
- The ability to function effectively during periods of rapid change and transition, with minimal direction;
- Demonstrated ability to enhance talent and leadership development in others and building strong, positive team relationships.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Medical Affairs & Academic Partnerships, the Manager, Medical Affairs, will oversee all aspects of the Medical Affairs function and team at Trillium Health Partners. The Manager, Medical Affairs will lead and mentor a high-performing team of subject matter experts to support and enable frontline professional staff (doctors, dentists, midwives) and professional staff leaders by ensuring execution and continuous improvement of highly reliable processes including but not limited to recruitment, credentialing, reappointment, onboarding, contract and payroll management, quality and code of conduct case management and organizational professional staff communication and engagement. The ideal candidate will exemplify a commitment to Trillium Health Partners’ vision, mission and values and demonstrates dedication to a patient and provider focused approach to delivering quality hospital care.

While this role is a hybrid role (remote/onsite), travel among the 3 main sites of Trillium Health Partners is required on an as-needed basis. This role requires flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to meet stakeholder needs as necessary.
