Under the general guidance of the Director, Enterprise Network Service, the Manager of Network Engineering will lead a team of Senior Network Engineering staff in the design, development and implementation of Temple Health's Enterprise Network and Network Security Infrastructure. Manages strategic initiatives (e.g., routing protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, network security and management tools). The Manager of Network Engineering will collaborate with other IT Teams and IT Leaders to align technology solutions with organizational goals. Develops team talent, ensuring and driving the successful execution of projects.
Education
Bachelors Degree : in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
3 Years experience with managing and mentoring a Network Engineering Team (Required)
5 Years experience with strong expertise in network design, architecture and troubleshooting across diverse infrastructure (e.g., SD-WAN, Firewalls, ACI, Data Center Networking) (Required)
General experience with and In-depth knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, QoS, static routing, Layer 2, Layer 3 routing, Spine/Leaf, and VxLAN (Required)
2 Years experience and proficiency in automation and scripting and Network monitoring (Preferred)
General experience and familiarity with network devices Cisco, Palo Alto, Extreme, Infoblox and knowledge of Azure (Preferred)
Previous healthcare experience (Preferred)
License/Certifications
CCNP - Cisco Cert Net Professional (Required)
CCDP - Cisco Cert Design Profesional (Preferred)
