Your Work Matters
Some supply chain jobs are about moving freight. This one’s about moving your career.
Behind every on-time delivery is a complex network—and you’ll be the one keeping it all moving. As the Manager of Container Drayage Operations at Floor & Decor, you’ll take ownership of our drayage program, ensuring containers flow from port to distribution with precision and speed. This role isn't just about transportation—it's about building trusted carrier relationships, solving costly problems before they happen, and driving efficiency at scale. If you love logistics and leading from the front, you’ll thrive here.
Your Day Consists Of
· Leading and optimizing container drayage operations from port to distribution center.
· Managing and developing a team of four, with oversight of daily execution, carrier performance, and issue resolution.
· Partnering with internal teams and third-party providers (like EDRAY) to improve visibility, compliance, and on-time metrics.
· Negotiating rates, managing freight claims, and analyzing invoices to reduce cost and eliminate waste.
· Navigating port and steamship line systems to track container status and prevent costly delays.
· Leveraging transportation management software and data insights to build scalable processes and drive results.
You’ll Be Supported With
· Bonus & career advancement opportunities at every level
· Programs like 401K with discretionary company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and Referral Bonus Program
· Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and other Insurance Plans (subject to eligibility criteria)
· Work-life balance:
o A personal holiday
o Volunteer Time Off program that starts on day one
You’ll Be Successful With
· 3–5 years managing port drayage or import logistics operations, ideally with hands-on leadership experience.
· A deep understanding of TMS systems, carrier scorecarding, and visibility platforms.
· Confidence navigating port systems and collaborating across warehouses, carriers, and corporate teams.
· Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and stay calm in fast-moving environments.
· A knack for negotiation, documentation, and using data to support operational decisions.
· Curiosity, precision, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement—not just maintenance.
