      The Manager of Planning (Operations) is big picture thinker, able to connect the dots between various metrics, KPI’s, measures, behaviours, drivers, processes, actions, outcomes, and business goal.

      What you will be doing:

      As the Manager of Planning (Operations), you will be accountable for delivering analyses supporting strategic direction, tactical implementation, and performance measurement of Operations functions. This will be related to performance analysis vis-a-vis internal and external benchmarks, productivity assessments, impact analysis and other activities required to support the team in Operations review, “People, Process, Technology” gap and impact assessment, alignment to operational strategy and outcomes.

      You will support measurement and recommend improvements in operations responsiveness, consistency, efficiency, and productivity, helping answer the “what has to happen” for various actions, activities and projects undertaken by the operations team. You will contribute to the overall success of Tangerine’s Operations team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and ambitions are executed/delivered in support of the team’s strategies and objectives.

      Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

      • Accountable for modelling, strategic analyses of capacity drivers, productivity, workforce and workload optimization that will result in recommendations and solutions to all levels of management across Operational functions (S&S, CBS, Fraud, Channels etc.)
      • Analyze ongoing and historical business operational work, including volumes and performance data, and recommend adjustments and opportunities as appropriate, to account for team events, vacation, overtime and reassignment of resources.
      • Develop and calibrate on-going capacity management to understand resources required to support business activities, processes, projects, testing, audits, new initiatives and unplanned activities.
      • Drive Service responsiveness, consistency, efficiency and productivity at the Agent, team and Center level via:
        • Business performance analyses – feeding functional owners as well as support remediation activities
        • Exploration of Customer experience and Service value drivers via data collection and analytics
        • Identification of Service cost containment opportunities
      • Support business case development for various projects and initiatives proposed by various stakeholders by providing insights, analyses and alignment to priorities
      • Support and drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across the bank to derive insights on challenges and opportunities that drive Operational outcomes and goals
      • Responsible for maintaining, visualizing and communicating the Operations road map for functional owners and stakeholders to derive insights, help prioritize actions and align Operations performance objectives with overall Bank goals.
      • Lead, coach and develop teams, bringing energy and passion for the business
      • Respond to ad hoc requests (internal and external) for data, analysis and information.
      • Working with the analytics team to develop the analytical capability (via both tools and talent development) required to identify and capitalize on Service improvements opportunities

      Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

      • University or College Degree in Business or equivalent work experience and training
      • 5+ years of experience in the Banks, FI’s or similar planning or strategy function
      • Strong process knowledge of how banking and departments within a bank or FI function
      • Experience in data modelling and analytics, BI tools knowledge is an advantage– Data Studio, PowerBI, Advanced Excel (VB, SQL)
      • Knowledge of FinTech, emerging technologies in Banking/FI or relevant industries
      • Strong in prioritizing, planning, requirement gathering, data analyzing and presentation skills
      • Strong communication skills and relationship building skills with internal partners
      • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert
      • Able to manage ambiguity
