      The Position

      The Manager Operational Excellence within Near Patient Care Operations Support is responsible for driving the implementation of our continuous improvement strategy at the manufacturing sites. You work within a dedicated team on identifying efficiencies in our manufacturing process environment and serve as expert and coach in the application of lean methods. You act as a role model and with training and routine implementation you create a basement for a lean mindset.You will have a significant part in reducing our manufacturing costs and driving our profitability objectives within NPC Operations.

      Main Tasks of the position:

      Strategy implementation:

      • Implementation and coordination of the operational excellence strategy for NPC Operations

      • Close collaboration, alignment and continuous improvement between the manufacturing sites in Mannheim and Indianapolis

      • Application and implementation of a maturity model including relevant tools

      • Global and local resource capacity analysis

      • Definition and implementation of new continuous improvement tools in cooperation with local leadership teams

      Project work:

      • Lead and coordination of global and local continuous improvement activities

      • Project consultant within strategic projects, including CAPEX investments

      • Support with planning and implementation of new products and product generations to ensure a lean process environment from the start

      • Global and local resource capacity analysis

      • Selection of appropriate approach to reach project objectives (e.g. DMAIC, AGILE, etc.)

      Application of Lean tools:

      • Creation of value stream analysis and -designs

      • Application of structured root cause analysis

      • Analysis in regards to OEE, cycle times and additional efficiency parameters

      • Focus on the efficient and effective design of working processes and environments

      • Support of the organization with the application of lean tools (e.g. shopfloor management, 5S, etc.)

      • Organization and execution of trainings

      • Coaching of local teams and experts

      Interface management and culture:

      • Change ambassador for lean and operational excellence

      • Active lead of lean communities within NPC Operations and support beyond NPC Operations

      Your qualification:

      Education:

      • Change ambassador for lean and operational excellence

      • Active lead of lean communities within NPC Operations and support beyond NPC Operations

      Professional experience/duration:

      • Significant experience in the lean environment in an international setting

      • Understanding of the medical device industry, including regulatory requirements, technological advancements, and market trends are preferred

      Specialist knowledge:

      • Significant understanding of the lifecycle and manufacturing processes of medical devices in a global setting

      • Experience in the application of various project management tools and concepts

      • Intercultural competency and authority

      • Proven competency with the moderation and alignment of multiple hierarchies in a multinational company setting

      • Exceptional creativity, individual responsibility, self-organization and flexibility

      • Excellent english communication skills

      • Advanced knowledge in lean
