- Lead investigations into organized criminal activities.
- Use field surveillance tactics to develop and validate organized retail crime (ORC) investigations.
- Identify criminal trends and patterns to develop investigative leads.
- Prepare and present evidence and intelligence to Law Enforcement agencies.
- Provide testimony in criminal, civil, or administrative proceedings on behalf of the company.
- Collect, analyze, and monitor intelligence to ensure intelligence-driven resource deployments.
- Source local intelligence from OSINT, criminal entities, law enforcement, and retail partners.
- Provide analytical and statistical ORC theft data to the Senior Director and on occasion, to the Senior LCBO Executive team.
- Maintain an internal and external communication network facilitating the flow of Intelligence and investigative information related to all aspects of theft and fraud.
- Identify and recommend strategies to help to reduce criminal activity.
- Direct and follow up on all court procedures and other financial recovery aspects.
- Develop and enhance the skills of field-based specialists and investigators.
- Collaborate with industry peers on developing large scale investigations focused on prolific offenders.
- Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Crime Analysis, or other related field of study.
- 5 years of relevant and related work experience.
- Have a clean and current Ontario Driving License.
- Have an Ontario Private Investigator license, or desire to obtain one.
- Proficient in managing and coordinating ORC, or major crime investigations.
- Motivate an engaged team while building and maintaining relationships with all partners.
- Possess exceptional communication skills to build relationships, provide clear directions, briefings and presentations and prepare detailed evidential packages and intelligence reports.
- Proven analytical skills to collect and interpret information and implement actions that are data driven and intelligence led.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and strategize to identify and implement short term and long-term goals and objectives.
- Proven adaptability to react to changing priorities and developments while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Be prepared to have a flexible working schedule that can include travel to any location in the province of Ontario.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of Power BI.

Job Posting Description:This is a hybrid role #LI-Hybrid
Reporting to Senior Director – Resource Protection, the Manager, Organized Retail Crime, and Intelligence will lead a team of Crime Analysts, Internal Investigators, External Private Investigators and plain clothes Loss Prevention Investigators that will collaborate to gather evidence, build criminal case files and to effect arrests at retail locations. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong and collaborate external partnerships, including with law enforcement.
