      Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 10% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

      Manager, Patient Financial Services-Front End (REMOTE-West coast/Central US: USA)

      Job Overview:

      In this role the Manager, PFS-Front End, manages and monitors all the Patient Financial Services activities from the front end of the processes, including but not limited to insurance verification, authorization and patient estimation for genetic testing. The Manager, PFS is the subject matter expert in all in front end functions, is able to support senior management goals and directions, and provides coaching and skill-development for their direct reports.

      Essential Functions:

      • Coaches, disciplines, and otherwise manages the performance evaluations/appraisals for all staff in a timely manner as well as ensures that company/departmental employee policies are followed (e.g. Time Card Management)
      • Completes one-on-one performance reviews with direct reports, as well as quarterly career development check-in’s
      • Develops the productivity and quality benchmarks for the team members to support the Management goals for the department as well as hold the individual contributors accountable
      • Works with the Supervisors and Leads to develop best demonstrated practices for the area including but not limited to workflow process improvements, efficiencies, and effectiveness in dealing with incoming sample volume for revenue cycle front-end processes including insurance verification, authorization, and patient estimation for genetic testing
      • Manages and monitors the key metrics as established by Management for proactive implementation of solutions (e.g. clean claims rate, client service level agreements, system configuration for automation, etc.)
      • Maintains and provides a positive work environment and morale for the area by timely communication, written and understandable policies and other ways to incorporate team member involvement in the daily work efforts for the area
      • Is able to guide the day-to-day production staff and is available to provide guidance and answer question, while also managing, maintaining and reporting on ongoing projects assigned by the PFS Director or VP.
      • Other projects and duties as assigned

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma
      • College degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or similar, or equivalent experience
      • Expert knowledge of revenue cycle processes
      • Experience with Xifin
      • Must have ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment
      • Must have expert knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and other Office products
      • Must have excellent computer skills
      • Must have good public-speaking skills and be able to present to large groups
      • Must be able to provide coaching and skill development
      • Must understand the full revenue cycle process, with specialized understanding of one or more RCM functions
      • Must be able to multi-task
      • Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner
      • Must be very tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and processes quickly and effectively
      • Knowledge of accounting and/or other general math skills a plus
      • Must have 2+ years management level experience in a Supervisory or similar position
      • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management a plus

      Preferred:

      • Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes, medical terminology, insurances, claims processing preferred
      • 3+ years’ experience in a clinical laboratory preferred, especially genetic billing

      • 3+ years’ experience in all aspects of the billing revenue cycle a plus
