- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline
- Master’s Degree in a health-related discipline, health administration, business administration or related subject is an asset.
- Active registration with relevant health discipline/college or association
- Minimum of 3 years working experience and responsibilities in a leadership or management position
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical oncology setting
- Certified Health Executive designation is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinical care providers required.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and implement transformative initiatives required.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and team members in a virtual environment required.
- Demonstrated high degree of independent decision-making, self-direction, motivation, change management knowledge and team building/leadership skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyse evidence-based practices to inform strategy development and organizational planning
- Experience in planning, coordinating, delivery and evaluation of health care service initiatives
- Experience in program and service development, implementation and evaluation required
- Demonstrated superior oral and written communication skills
- Possesses a sound knowledge of management and a working knowledge of information systems
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent Full-time Position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- This is a work from home/hybrid position with some travel within the province

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director Oncology Clinical Standards and System Integration and working closely with the Cancer Care Provincial Medical and Administrative Managers & Directors, and frontline cancer care staff, the Manager, Patient Reported Outcomes and Patient Engagement is a key member of the Cancer Care Program. This position is responsible for provincial oversight of the Noona patient facing application, including implementation of new functionality, education plan/resources for healthcare providers and patients. The manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting enrolment, activation, utilization and other key performance indicators to support a strength-based approach to enable patients to be active in their care across the continuum.
The Manager adopts continuous quality improvement principles, innovation, and technological initiatives to advance Nova Scotia Health’s commitment to enhance access to cancer care. The Manager facilitates and champions a learning and research environment that aligns with the current and proposed future state of Nova Scotia Health.
Working with the Cancer Care Program leaders and staff, and other Clinical Networks, the Manager will support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives to support and improve the delivery of health care services across the continuum. Consistent with the strategic priorities of Nova Scotia Health and the strategic directions set by the Cancer Care Program, and the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, establishes integration of patient reported outcomes (PROs) and patient reported experience measures (PREMs) as a standard of care.
