      JOB SCOPE:
      The Manager, Policy & Compliance supports the HR Policy and Compliance functions for TransformCo.

      JOB SUMMARY:
      The Manager, Policy & Compliance serves as a strategic subject matter expert working closely with the Legal and HR teams on guiding and directing HR policy and implementing legal obligations and requirements. Knowledge and hands-on experience with employment laws, workforce data, and employment policies, along with excellent project management and problem-solving skills are essential.       REPORTS TO:
      Sr Mgr, Compliance, Policy & CLM JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Owns front line associate support related to company policies, internal procedures, and regulations
      • Drives continuous improvement that simplifies people processes and policies as the organization scales
      • Maintains published policies and required posters to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
      • Creates new policies and maintains existing policies as needed for any and all updates to employment laws impact the organization; ensures that all related compliance and policy material updates are made on the intranet site
      • Works closely with legal team to ensure the organization is compliant in all aspects of state, local, and federal regulations
      • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
      • Ensures that all policies, procedures, and systems are compliant and kept up to date in accordance with compliance requirements and follow best practices
      • Creates content for HR Compliance Training and assists in facilitating training sessions with HR and Business Partners
      • Oversees the compliance portion of the new hire onboarding process, including the I-9 and Employment Screening processes
      • Maintains a log for policy, procedure, and handbook updates including archived documents, communications regarding requests and approval for document updates
      • Performs regular audits on company policies, procedures, and handbooks; also supports SOX/SOC controls and audits
      JOB REQUIREMENTS:
      • Bachelors Degree
      • 5-10 years of related experience
      • 18 years of age or older
      REQUIRED SKILLS:
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
      • At least three years of human resource management experience preferred, with a specialty in Compliance, employment law and HR regulations
      • Thorough working knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
      • Experience developing and conducting data quality audits relating to compliance or improving quality of HRIS systems
      • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of the organization and work within a largely virtual team across multiple time-zones
      • Ability to write clear and concise policies and communications that will be referenced by exempt and nonexempt members of the organization
      • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, balance, and prioritize effectively with a strong attention to detail
      • Strong and effective communications skills, both verbal and written
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Sense of urgency
      • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
      • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
