      In what context does the team play?

      Product and Engineering (P&E) builds and runs the products that Mastercard provides to its customers globally. The product portfolio is diverse and includes card and digital payments, solutions for small businesses and large enterprises, and open banking, and is constantly innovating with new offerings.

      Who are we?

      P&E Strategy is a unique cross-business team reporting directly to the Office of the Chief Product Officer. The team is organized around key focus areas – Strategy & Execution, Growth Acceleration, Thought Leadership, and Strategic Transformation. We work across all product houses and corporate functions to enable the organization to execute on its vision, drive competitive advantages, and win in new business ventures.

      This role will report to the Strategy & Execution Lead and focus on partnering with businesses to define and achieve the target future state from strategy through execution. Projects often intersect with other P&E Strategy focus areas and span a broad range of topics. Example initiatives include Board of Directors updates on priority product domains, business expansion and pivot strategies, and executive engagements that ensure consistent and aligned execution and resolution of top-of-mind challenges.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to execute on high-impact initiatives
      • Facilitate strategic thinking (e.g., market / competitive analysis) and key business / product strategy projects
      • Contribute to the overall strategy agenda, including stakeholder engagement, knowledge-sharing, creative problem-solving, and continuous improvements in ways of working to enable the team to deliver at high quality and speed

      • Initiative-taking with entrepreneurial attitude (strong work ethic, ability to act with urgency and flexibility)
      • Strong intellectual curiosity, excellent research and analytical capabilities, and results-driven mindset
      • Strong relationship building, executive-level presentation, written and verbal communication skills
      • Strong process and project management skills with the ability to focus on details
      • MBA or relevant graduate degree or similar academic experience preferred
      • Enterprise strategy or management consulting experience strongly preferred
      • Product management and development experience preferred
      • Business and organization transformation experience preferred

      In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.       Purchase, New York: $129,000 - $206,000 USD
