      Summary

      Works under general supervision to provide leadership to assigned Projects

      Minimum Qualifications

      Required

      • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration, public health, nursing or related field
      • Three (3) years of progressive related experience required.

      Preferred

      • Hospital management experience.
      • Prior experience with project and program management is preferred.

      Essential Functions

      Job Duties:

      1. In collaboration with service line leadership, provide joint and engaged leadership to assigned projects
      2. Work with clinical leaders to continuously monitor and improve clinical quality and patient/client satisfaction
      3. Assist the assigned service line with the development of compliance documents and certifications
      4. Assist with program development, best-practice operational efficiencies, and project management
      5. Work with the Information Resources team to support the development and deployment of information technology that effectively supports the project objective
      6. Work with the service line leaders to identify equipment needs and coordinate purchasing
      7. Submit and track all required documents and business plans to support equipment purchases
      8. Ensure the appropriate maintenance support or contracts are in place to ensure assigned equipment is functioning properly
      9. Work with UTSW facilities to renovate, update or build new space to support critical projects.
      10. In collaboration with the service line, coordinates the design of the planned space
      11. Works with both the service line and facilities to ensure the timely execution of approved projects
      12. Performs other duties as assigned.

      • Work requires demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and exercise decision-making and problem solving skills.
      • Work requires ability to read, write, develop plans, procedures, and coordinate persons and other resources to accomplish goals.
      • Work requires knowledge of personal computers.
      • Work may require ability to lead committees as appropriate.
      • Work may require telephone and personal contact with all levels of internal and external personnel and organizations

      Working Conditions

      Work is performed primarily in a hospital or hospital clinic environment. Walking, standing, bending, turning and stooping.

      Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimum require prior approval of Vice President for Human Resources Administration or his/her designee.
