Job Description

As the Manager - Project Management Platforms & Processes you will oversee the mission-critical Project Management technology, platforms and tools used by the Lifecycle Services (LCS) segment of Rockwell Automation for all customer-facing engagements. This is a senior role that is responsible both for short-term performance (daily support, oversight and continuous improvement) and long-term transformation (defining future state vision and leading transformation initiatives and change management related to the design, implementation and deployment of new technologies).

The project management platforms overseen by you will include the IFS Project Management platform (existing solution deployed at Rockwell for more than 10 years) and the Certinia PSA (Professional Services Automation) platform (a newer technology now in middle of multi-year global deployment roll-out which is also introducing new resource management capabilities to the business).

Although you will focus on these project management (and resource management) technologies above, these platforms are also central to our broader LCS ecosystem and have integrations or points of intersection with other areas of our LCS business including human resource management (WorkDay), proposal/offer management (ProMS), proposal estimation tools, expense management (Concur), business intelligence data lake (ROKFusion), ERP systems for orders/invoicing/revenue recognition (SAP and IFS) and many more. As such, you will be involved both all state planning related to these other areas based on their expected or potential interactions with the project management/resource management systems (and vice versa).

This a team lead position with 6 direct reports, and leads a larger team of other subject matter experts and partners involved in the support and delivery of these technology platforms. You will sit within the LCS Global Operations department, reporting to the Director of Delivery Operations.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (in Engineering, Industrial Management, IT or related technology area)
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic or internationally, as needed

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• 8+ years of experience with the people, process and tools used across the Rockwell Automation Lifecycle Services business
• Experience with IFS, Certinia PSA and the other systems referenced in description above
• Experience and acumen across business, technical and financial topics be able to operate at both strategic (big picture view and planning) and tactical (in the weeds with front end users) levels
• Must have strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) to make progress on main initiatives while leading a core project team and ensure timely and clear communications to important partners across the LCS business and have the ability and drive to maximize our ability to achieve business objectives
• Change Management expertise and experience leading large internal transformation initiatives
• Be able to work with internal partners (such as IT and Finance) and external partners (such as vendors/suppliers) and be experienced with creating business process documents and workflows and have project management experience with coordination among teams (across departments and across regions)
• Be able to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics, work well under pressure, and balance our needs to maximize positive outcomes (with ability to identify options and tradeoffs that maximize these positive outcomes)
