What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify key public relations contacts and opportunities
- Secure media placement in trade and business publications
- Build and maintain relationships with national and local media representatives
- Research, draft, distribute, and pitch content to key media targets
- Develop and execute engaging press releases and social media campaigns
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years in PR, marketing, agency, or relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent
- At least 3 years of social media management experience, including video production and editing
- Familiarity with tools such as Cision, Meltwater, WordPress, Excel, and social scheduling apps
- Strong writing skills, ranging from technical to creative writing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing editorial content strategies based on industry events and consumer trends
- Ability to analyze and report on results, establishing improvements
- Strong creative eye for creating brand initiatives and campaigns on all social media platforms
- Self-motivated individual capable of working autonomously while maintaining a team approach
