- Develops & deploys business Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, policies, and processes
- Manage all external registration requirements to ensure they are met.
- Liaise with external bodies on all matters relating to registration.
- Maintain and improve, in line with business needs.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the QMS Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
- Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Train others in all aspects of the QMS and application of procedures
- Undertake regular internal and process audits of the QMS Will provide leadership, development, and guidance to the senior and junior people
- Will drive QMS continuous improvement projects, compliance, corrective, and preventative action
- Establishes internal quality function process and has direct reports for quality implementation.
- Ensures quality standards are implemented and accomplished on aircraft and assembles
- Plans, reviews, and approves issuance of work packages, job travelers, and other quality department documents as required
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess the ongoing performance of direct reports
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of QA documentation, including internal auditing and verification
- Supports shop activities by providing required current data, manuals, and documentation to complete work being performed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Airframe and Powerplant license and/or other delegate/designee certificate preferred
- Experience establishing and maintaining business quality management systems preferred
- Experience working in an AS9100 environment required
- 8-10 years of quality and manufacturing experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed and organized in maintaining and completing QA records
- Comfortable walking across uneven and/or temporary platforms to access inspection areas.
- Ability to have up to 2 or 3 direct reports and manage their tasks in a goal-centric environment
- Ability to take directions and follow through on assigned tasks to completion
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize their tasks with little oversight
- Great work ethic, dependable, and self-starter
- Detail oriented
- Criminal Convictions (misdemeanor and felony).
