Minimum of five (5) years of industry experience in Analytics and Information systems and/or Quality Analytics experience in a complex health system; including three (3) years of supervisory/leadership experience.
Three (3) years of experience with deployment of operational reporting and/or business intelligence/analytics solutions in a complex health system preferred.
Experience working with quality outcomes data (mortality, readmission, HAIs, PSIs, LOS, etc.) as well as process measures.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Customer focused and collaborative mindset.
Result-driven, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Knowledge of regulatory programs including but not limited to Vizient, Leapfrog, NHSN, CMS IQR, CMS Care Compare, etc.
Domain knowledge of data/analytics tools including but not exclusive to:
Database/DataWarehouse/Data Lake – SQL Server, Snowflake
Programming – SQL, Python
BI/Visualization tools – Tableau (preferred), Microsoft Power BI, Sigma
Statistical tools – R, SAS, Minitab
Data Science tools – Python, SAS, Anaconda
EMR – Epic Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle; Radar; Reporting Workbench; SlicerDicer
Manages the strategic initiatives of the Quality and Patient Safety department, aligning to the organizational goals of the System.
Facilitates the scoping, requirements definition, solution design, development, and validation of ongoing data and analytics needs for the Quality and Patient Safety department through collaboration with system, facility and/or departmental leadership throughout the organization.
Coordinates with other enterprise analytics teams and ISD to execute data acquisition and management strategy, leverage enterprise and departmental data assets and analytics toolsets, collaborate on data and process improvement projects, and align to enterprise standards and best practices.
Accomplishes department objectives by developing and implementing processes and best practices; maintaining data quality standards; planning, evaluating and prioritizing department activities; employee development and growth; recruiting, staff onboarding and orientation; and retention of high performing employees.
Oversees and advises on the design and delivery of analytic solutions/products that drive informed decision making, via key quality outcomes and process performance metrics.
Directly works with executive leadership across the organization to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions leveraging analytics products and solutions, ensuring alignment to strategic goals effectively and transparently managing quality and patient safety priorities.
Oversees the data/report request process using a unified review of all incoming quality analytics requests for alignment, tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, and individual assignment by strategically managing resources, timelines, expectations and deliverables.
Manages a team to produce data, reports, dashboards, analytics and actionable insights in support of the organization’s Quality and Patient safety goals.
Supports, motivates and manages the people and processes responsible for accurate and optimal data collection, data processing, data modeling, data analysis and insights to drive value.
Manages the department’s resource needs and promotes the professional growth of the team by implementing and tracking to individual performance goals, department goals, and development plans.
Ensures the transparency of communication by leading or participating in department meetings and leadership meetings.
Develops and implements quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Ensures all standards are adhered to by the team, customers, and vendors such as but not limited to access requests, intake process, approvals, security, and HIPAA policies.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a work-related field/discipline (i.e. Nursing, Business, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.) from an accredited college or university required.
Licenses/Certifications: Epic certification preferred. Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle preferred; relevant application certification such as ClinDoc, Orders, Bugsy, etc. will be considered.
